Visit the beautiful market town of Kendal whilst staying with us this winter; a small town set on the outskirts of the Lake District Ntaional Park. This town has many a hidden gem in it’s centre. Spend an afternoon visiting the town and find the hidden cafes down cobbled streets, stroll up to the Castle once thought to be home to Katharine Parr the 6th and last of Henry VIII wives and take time to visit Abbot Hall to see the painting Haystacks by Monet.

Visit Abbot Hall

See a masterpiece by one of the world’s most famous impressionist painters, now on display in Kendal’s Abbot Hall. Thepicture will be on display from Friday 12th January until Saturday 28th April 2018. The painting is dated 1918 and is from a series of work which is widely regarded as some of Monet’s best. The picture is on loan from the National Galleries of Scotland in Edinburgh and it’s though to be the first time a Monet has been displayed in Cumbria.
